That we may be ONE. (John 17:21)

ONE  is an invitation for the whole of Christ's family, walking together as First and Second Peoples, to gather as a people shaped by God’s reconciling love. This is a celebration of who we are: diverse in culture, honouring every person as made in God's image, different stories woven together through worship, witness and service.

Through worship, storytelling, conversation, and theological reflection, we will explore what it means to live as ONE  body. As we draw closer to ONE  another and to all creation, we draw closer to the God who created all.

We gather because being made  ONE  is not just an ideal: it is our witness. However, unity is difficult. It takes grace to listen and the humility to learn from people who are different from us. Yet, it is in this "different, together" that the Gospel becomes visible. The Church is called to be a sign of God’s Kingdom, a people who embody justice, mercy, and reconciliation. 

ONE  invites us anew into Christ’s prayer “that they may all be ONE,” (John 17:21). It calls us to participate in God’s mission of the renewal of all things, and to strengthen the relationships and trust that weave us together. This is an opportunity to think creatively about how our shared faith and Gospel is lived out in common witness, that Christ’s prayer for being made ONE  is transforming our communities today. Come and be part of this story that God is inviting you into, knowing that we are indeed ONE  in Christ, sent out into God’s world with faith, love, and enduring hope.

What to expect

At ONE, all are welcome - this is a space that encourages open, honest dialogue and new perspectives by asking questions, reflecting, listening deeply in anticipation for how you can make impact and change in your family, community and Church.

Within each of our five streams — Grow, Connect, Advocate, Create, Innovate — we are creating spaces where you will feel empowered to think differently, think creatively and be challenged to explore and express the Gospel in new ways.

Our five streams will offer a space for you to explore an area you are curious to learn more about or further strengthen your knowledge in a space you hold a deep passion for.

Our sessions will incorporate a variety of formats from reflective to interactive, from panels to traditional presentation styles. There will be something for everyone and a format that will align to all styles of learning.

Between sessions, we are intentionally creating space for connection, building new friendships and reflecting on the messages and lessons learned. Our aim is for you to walk away feeling empowered, valued and connected.
